We are a group of High School students in the INcubator PRogram. The Incubator program allows students to build a start-up business or service while still in school. Our charity, Active Beginnings, serves economically disadvantaged children in the DuPage community who lack access to athletic gear due to financial barriers.
HoW IT WOrks
We offer access to sporting equipment at no cost, allowing said children to participate in sports they otherwise would not have access to. We acquire sporting equipment through equipment donations and purchases funded by monetary donations. Active Beginnings seeks to develop sports like soccer, baseball, and basketball, as our research has displayed that these sports would garner the most interest from children in our communities. Developing athletic opportunities for children not only builds healthy exercise habits but also helps children grow their support networks as they further their involvement in athletic communities.
Our three main sports
At Active Beginnings, we work to provide sports equipment for every sport. However, we will put extra focus on sports like soccer, baseball, and basketball.

We plan on providing equipment to all kids in need of sports gear, including Cleats, Balls, and Shin Guards.
